Musketeer Tabard

Guy a la D'Artagnan

This tabard is patterned from an actual garment from the 1630's, adapted to look just like the tabards worn by Athos, Porthos, Aramis and D'Artagnan in the movie, "The Man in the Iron Mask". The garment shown was privately commissioned and graciously modeled by the customer.

The garment was made up in dark blue wool and was lined with red wool. The tabard features a back vent, which buttons and unbuttons, as well as arm "capes" which can be buttoned to make sleeves for warmth while riding, or worn unbuttoned for easier access to a sword or purse.

Over 160 hand-cast pewter buttons, metallic silver braid and hand-embroidered fleur-de-lis emblems complete the garment.

An exceptionally detailed and meticulously finished garment.

Commissioned and Modeled by:
Le Chevalier Jean Louis d'Argencourt

Just as handsome from the back
