Pirate and Cavalier Hats

Our hats are made of high quality fur felt, feature an approximately 5 1/2 inch wide brim and a 4 inch crown. All hat styles are available in black, dark grey, dark brown and medium brown (pecan). All hats have bound brims, are hand trimmed and finished off with metallic braid, ostrich plumes, and a hat band with certain hat styles. They are stunning examples of the milliner's art and are some of the finest 17th Century and early 18th Century reproduction hats available to the general public.

Custom designs in 17th and early 18th Century hats will be gladly considered. We will also re-block, re-trim, repair and/or re-plume your hat, whether you have purchased it from us or another supplier.

Your choice of either white or black ostrich plumes as the stock color with certain hat styles. Your choice of gold or silver metallic trim.

It was common practice during the late 17th Century and into the 18th Century to hold the 'cock' of a hat in place with hooks and eyes, cords, or buttons and loops, so that the brim could be worn up or down, according to the whims of the wearer, or the weather. To maintain a look of authenticity, our pirate hats feature cording run through holes in the crown and brim of the hat to hold the brim in place.

To measure for your correct hat size, please see the Hat Chart below.
